Located at 1 Austin Road West, West Kowloon, this 118-floor building is by far the highest building in Hong Kong.

The scale of this project was large for our company, besides the metal works in the two transformer rooms and control rooms of two areas, there were 7 levels of shoring and strutting and machines at the lowest floor to consider, so we had to arrange lifting operations to move materials. However, the deeper the position, the harder to control. Hence, this project was the largest shoring and strutting project we have ever had, we had to use strutting on the sides of the H-shape metal works and intersection points for support, increasing the difficulty of the project.

Moreover, we were responsible for the tests for screws, crash test, fire-proof test and wind power test. Concerning the test for metal works and glass balustrade, we used an advanced method, the KBA method, to monitor the amount of stress our balustrade can bear. From this experience, we learnt a lot of testing technologies.
