Jumbo Orient was founded on 9 Dec 1996, when it was named as “Jumbo Orient Limited”, and its core business was concreting works. Despite the blow of the 1997-1998 financial crisis, we stood firm and adjusted company policies according, at the same time maintained a friendly relationship with main contractors and developers, and set a path for our future development.

In March 2003, we applied and became a member of the Subcontractor Registration Scheme in order to expand our client network. When Hong Kong suffered from SARS in 2003, we grasped the opportunity to connect with steel manufacturer in mainland and explore the field of steel and aluminium manufacture.

As the number of staff increases and different departments were established, we moved from the store in Sham Shui Po to a larger office to suit our developmental needs. With the support of hardware, we have reached a historic peak of total construction contract sales.

On the other hand, in 2009 and 2010, we obtained the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management certificate, ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System and OHSAS18001:2007 Occupational Health & Safety Management issued by HKQAA. Besides excelling in our business, we also care for our community and fulfill our social responsibilities, hence, we became the certified company that obtained the HKQAA – HSBC Corporate Social Responsibility Index.

Furthermore, in 2016, we signed the “Social Caring Pledge” and fulfilled our duties as a caring company. We believe that there is yet many potential areas for development in the construction industry of Hong Kong. In the future, we would continue to improve our work, and gain support and recognition from clients while our business grows.
